We see many objects around us. Some are moving and some are at rest. In this module we will be looking at these two states of motion and rest of a body. Moreover, we will be looking at various aspects of motion which are the physical quantities related to motion like distance, displacement, speed, velocity, and acceleration. Finally, we will represent the motion of a body in terms of graphs and equations.

This tutorial is especially made for the students of class 9 of Central Board of Secondary Education, who wish to have a better grip of the various concepts of “Motion”.

She holds an M Sc. in physics from Pondicherry Central University and also B Ed. from Regional Institute of Education (NCERT), Bhubaneswar. She comes with some experience as a physics and chemistry teacher in schools as well as IIT Foundation courses.
