I have started learning web development, with HTML, jQuery and JavaScript. I want to include jQuery in one of my examples and link it to HTML page. How can I link jQuery if I am having a separate file?

jQuery is a JavaScript library, so why developers prefer jQuery over JavaScript? I have worked on JavaScript before, and done some coding in jQuery. It will be easy to understand if an example is given for comparison.

I have set jQuery on local machine, but it’s cumbersome. I want to use CDN for the same purpose for faster loading of web page. Environment can be set for jQuery using Microsoft or Google CDN. How can I link jQuery from Google CDN, to avoid jQuery version to be placed on my local machine?
