Description:
Cell cycle is defined as a collection of all those changes which occur during cell-growth and cell-division are collectively.
Cell cycle is the sum of events by which a cell duplicates its genome, synthesizes the cell contents and then divides into two daughter cells.
The process of cell cycle is divided into two parts −
- Interphase.
- M-phase.
The various phases of cell cycle are controlled by proteins called cyclins and cyclin dependent protein kinase using ATP.
