If a charge ‘q’ is moving with velocity F→ enters in a region in which electric field E→ and magnetic field B→ both are present, it experiences a force due to both field simultaneously.
The force experienced by the charged particle is given by –
Electrical Force - FE = q.→E → (F in direction of E)
Magnetic Force - FB = q.→v →×B → (F perpendicular to V)
Hence the Lorentz’s force is given by-
FL = q→(E →+V →×B →)
