Description:

Electric field is a a real quantity because it can apply force on charged particle and can move them. The movements can be experienced physically. As in the figure source charge Q is creating an electric field due to which the test charge is experiencing a force away from the source charge.

Note − Electric field lines are virtual as they are only the graphical representation of electric field and it has no real existence.
