Description:
Identify Parent chain, Principal Functional Group (Suffix), Substituents (Prefix).
Name of the functional group changes when it becomes a prefix and a suffix.
Substituents or side chains are assigned lowest numbers based on first point of difference.
If two or more chains/substituents are present at equivalent positions, then they are named alphabetically.
If chains of equal length are competing for parent chain, then the one selected has the greatest number of side chains. After the selection of the chain, numbering is done from the end closer to the substituent.
